Help - I Can't Stop Wearing The Same Perfume

Like a moth to the flame or flies on sh bees on honey, I'm stuck on Bvlgari Rose Essentielle.  For the past week, I have worn this perfume every day.

Like Every Single Day.

Not since my Borneo 1834 phase has a perfume lured me into its spell and refused to play nice and share my attention with all the others.

I'm not sure how this happened.

My morning routine is still the same. I visit my perfume cabinet and think through what goes with the day's wardrobe, events and weather.  Same old, same old.

But then, before I can stop myself, I reach for Rose Essentielle.  And at night, I apply it again.

I'm out of control.

In my defense, Rose Essentielle is perfect with my chemistry, plus it has exquisite sillage and amazing staying power.  Everything about it just works for me right now.

Honestly, I enjoy being recognized by a scent.  People make comments like, 'mmm, you're wearing that perfume again - it's so nice.'   They should know better than to feed the compliment monster.

So, until this phase is over, Rose Essentielle is Eau de Josephine.

What was your last I-can't-stop-wearing-it perfume?

  1. I was in a deep Musc Ravageur phase a few months ago. Lately, I am circling my Amouage samples, with Ubar, Lyric and Gold all getting equal play but not letting anyone else in the playground.

  2. L'Agent by L'Agent Provocateur! I have started wearing it in the daytime too, because I love it so, even though I see it primarily as a va-va-voom scent for evening wear. : - )

  3. Parfumerie Generale L'Eau Rare Matale has been winning lately, four occasions out of five. And it doesn't even get compliments! (Hmph.)

  4. *jen, hi! Rarely do I get stuck on just one perfume, but I'm there right now. Yesterday I forced myself to wear something different (Cabaret - nice, soapy rose) so maybe I'm beginning to break out of my trend.

  5. Hey Vanessa - I haven't tried L'Agent, but now I'm curious. Nothing wrong with a little va-va-voom to spice up your days, too! Carry on, I say.

  6. ChickenFreak, you have mentioned your love of L'Eau Rare Matale on many occasions, so this doesn't surprise me. It's nice to have perfumes that are constant go-to choices.

I think you smell divine! (Chalk up one compliment.)

  7. Chanel No.19 (both the original EdT and new flanker Poudre) for me in the last month or so. First I was wearing it because I was curious, then - to write a review. Later - just because. I felt being drawn to it again and again.

  8. You already know mine before I say it: Mary Greenwell Plum. It's one I'd probably be happy to wear every day if I didn't make myself grab something else.

  9. Undina, Chanel No. 19 is an interesting choice. I haven't smelled the new flanker yet, but have been seduced by No. 19 from time to time. It makes a statement, and could easily be part of a perfume phase. Enjoy!

  10. Hi Muse - yes, I would have guessed Mary Greenwell Plum. Yesterday, I forced myself to wear Eau de Merveilles to an outdoor party. But we'll see what tomorrow brings.
